Granuloma oral raro em cão
🇵🇹 – cão referido para cirurgia após deteção de massa oral. A avaliação por tomografia mostra lesão com osteolise extensa mas sem reação proliferariva óssea periférica na região da sinfise mandibular. O diagnóstico histopatologico de granuloma periférico de células gigantes é extremamente raro e pouco documentado na literatura, correspondendo a 1% das lesões tipo epulide de humanos. O tratamento é cirúrgico, embora haja risco de recidiva.
🇬🇧 – Dog referred for surgery after detection of an oral mass. CT evaluation reveals a lesion with extensive osteolysis but no peripheral bone proliferative reaction in the symphyseal region of the mandible. The histopathological diagnosis of peripheral giant cell granuloma is extremely rare and poorly documented in the literature, accounting for only 1% of human epulide-like lesions. Treatment is surgical, with a risk of recurrence, and although it is not considered a malignant neoplasm, its behavior can be aggressive.
